There are things photographers see that writers don’t and there are things writers can say that photographers can’t.

When documenting random moments, there’s a level of unselfishness you need to achieve in order to capture the full potential of an idea. It is the acceptance of being an observer realizing that you are not part of the story, but merely an interpreter without the desire to influence, manipulate or even be noticed. Letting go of who you are and embracing the image that’s in front of you is what matters.

For many years, I lay half awake. I believed that in order to function, I must compromise the truth for the demands of reality. I don’t think anyone should compromise who they are. Just like no one should be prevented from having mad, passionate love affairs as long as the intentions are pure. Those who restrain their emotions get sick in the heart and in the head. Some forget that we are built by our relationships and never our titles. We were put into this world to care for other people, some for multitudes, some for just one.
We are all joyful beings. Everything that we are made up of, from our souls to our bodies, function only on the basis of joy. It’s everything that we need to feel. As long as we know what makes us ultimately happy then that’s where we find our God.
We fight wars in order to attain peace. Ironically, the moment I surrendered was the moment I got what I needed. Now I’m happy, happier than I could ever be.

Something I wrote in 2009 and my feelings haven’t changed.
I fell asleep on a humid set while shooting a movie. When I woke up I had an eyeprint on my glasses. Awesome. I immediately went online and wrote this during one of the set breaks.
Sometimes a sense of humor can save you in the bleakest of situations, and for that I’m glad people have laughed at me at one point or another…
If you can’t find the answers, just open your eyes and go to sleep.
26Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. 27But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, 29so that no one may boast before him. 30It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.31Therefore, as it is written: “Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 1:26-31)

You do things not because you’re the best at it. God lets you do it because you’re NOTHING and you’re weak and you need direction. These are the challenges He gives you to give you the opportunity to perfect yourself. Nothing of what you do is because of your own doing, but because He put the desire and the skills in you. He puts you in places where you challenge yourself and find spiritual meaning in them. He makes you by breaking you until you realize that you are there to help spread His cause and His will to others. :)
