Mark & Jolina’s Wedding

It’s always magnificent to see two people who have met through music realize that their each other’s soulmates. To find inspiration in your partner and become each other’s muses is something very rare and should be something that everyone should aspire to have, because you know what? It exists. Mark and Jolina are a proof of that.

This is probably one of the longest photo posts in this blog because I’m not a wedding photographer (I tried, but I’m never gonna be any good at it, haha) but any event where people are brought together through love and music is something that deserves it’s own blog post.

Jolina’s Birthday Exhibit

Because it’s almost Valentine’s day, I remembered this really sweet video of Mark Escueta playing guitar while Jolina sang during a segment at GMA7’s Party Pilipinas. (sorry panalo kinikilig ako ibang level na to, haha) I realized that I never got to post photos of her birthday exhibit in Thaipan Restaurant last year because it was the day before NU107 shut down.

The photos were all spread out in the whole venue so you can see it wherever you go. I have always known Jolina to be a great photographer ever since the first time I met her and BELIEVE ME, I am not saying that because she and Mark are both my friends. I hear her stories of taking infrared shots (something I’ve always wanted to do) in between her tv show tapings and showed them to me once and I was in awe. Her macro shots are brilliant, a photo of the eye of an owl is something really difficult to capture, but she has it.

I would love to show you photos of ‘the photos’ but I believe that people should see the works as they are meant to be seen, nothing beats the actual print. Actually, I’m just saying that because I’m hoping Jolina does another exhibit, or a touring one for friends and fans alike to visit whenever they want to, hehe.

So, Mark, hurry up with organizing another one, hehe! :P

And more random shots below :P

Post New Years Party

The last time I organized a party was in 2002. I don’t remember a thing about it. I think almost 200 people arrived at our house, half of those were people I don’t know who just crashed the place. There were so many people they spilled out to the garage. It was a joint celebration of a friend’s birthday, then some friends of his wanted to join in and then I just lost track of who’s with who and whatever.

Those people just found out there was a party and decided to go despite the major storm that day. People made out in dark corners, a girl I don’t know passed out on the toilet with her underwear down, smoke was so thick you could get high by accident and an unknown heavy metal band played. It was EPIC. For a split second that night I thought I was going to be a lesbian.

I don’t know if anybody had a camera then. People spoke about that party, but no one has any remembrance whatsoever haha. I don’t have photos!

This time around I kept it secret and told only my closest friends. I’m getting old. I don’t want to be stressed, haha! Francis seemed to like organizing and he wants to organize a bigger one. Yikes. I think you must experience and organize one huge party at least in your life. I think I’m pretty much done with it. I’m thankful I just didn’t get in trouble the last time.

There are just tons of photos, but I couldn’t post them all without having my blog look like spam. So I just randomly chose these. :)

Thank you friends! Until the next one! You can watch the video of part of that night here

More photos under the cut…
