My Top 11 Best Gigs of 2011

Posted on December 31, 2011

A great gig for me doesn’t always produce a great photo. But when the moment is there, sometimes it’ll just naturally come across in the pictures. Like my last post of Top 10 Random Music Moments, this post is personal and features just some concerts that I’ve attended which were memorable to me.

Urbandub opens for Deftones

Urbandub played a slightly extended set. The false start where the power went off during the first song proved to be a blessing because they were able to redeem themselves (not that they needed to prove it).

I think I overheard backstage that one of the members of Deftones say they were great after their soundcheck. I saw Lalay kind of jump up and down to this, haha.

@Slapshock opens for Deftones

I told Ansing I’ll post these today and so I shall. :) I showed him a photo of me with the rest of his bandmates and I can sense some slight hate vibe towards me. Haha! Just kidding. :)

You should check out his blog to see him and some of his bandmates in swimwear and life vests paddling kayaks LOL

Slapshock was one of the front acts for Deftones concert here in Manila. I think it’s the first time I took photos of them. I have some of Jamir, but mostly from productions where vocalists from different bands come together to perform a number.

I just had to say again that at the Dubai Rock Fest in 2008, they opened for MUSE and that is one awesome fact I will not forget about them.

It’s like one of those classic rock shots backstage. A big congratulations to Splintr.com for a world-class venue set-up at the recent Deftones concert… of course it helps that the one who took the photo is none other than, Ramon Bautista

Where are our band photos? hehe
